ROLE AND SCOPE

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of respiratory system anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology to assess and treat respiratory conditions.
  • Apply evidence-based practices in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of respiratory disorders across the lifespan, including acute and chronic conditions.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis, to evaluate and monitor respiratory health.
  • Administer respiratory care treatments and therapies, including mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management, in a variety of clinical settings.
  • Develop clinical reasoning and decision-making skills to create individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using respiratory equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting to enhance patient care.
