Home - University - Messages - Message from Rector

I extend my warmest felicitations to the new comers who are entering the University to pursue various degree programmes. In order to cater for the needs of growing number of students the University has established another campus at the Canal Road exclusively for boys. Responding to the rapidly changing scenarios at national level the University has launched the programmes of BS.IT and LLB (Hons) Law and Sharia.

I am glad to mention that The University of Faisalabad within almost two years of its establishment initiated Research degrees of M.Phil and Ph.D in Arabic and Islamic studies and have also started M Phil program leading to PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology, while MS Telecommunication and MS Textile are being started in September 2007.

This is the age of sharing of knowledge, information and developing interaction with local and foreign institutions. The University has recently signed an MOU with Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia for cooperation in the area’s of faculty exchange, curriculum development and split PH D program in the field of Electrical Engineering and Management Sciences transfer of credit hours. A tripartite agreement has also been signed between The University of Faisalabad and National Productivity Organization (NPO), Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) for enhancing the competitiveness, productivity and performance of the industry specially focused for the Micro, small and medium enterprises.

The University places special emphases on molding and developing the personalities of the students as a whole. Accordingly, students are motivated to participate in extra curricular activities and sports which are organized on regular basis through various societies/committees. Such activities develop confidence, mutual respect, harmony and understanding among the students.

I am confident that our students after completing their degrees would be adequately qualified to shoulder their responsibilities in their practical life.
