I am glad to inform that during the past two years there has been an overwhelming response of students seeking admission to various programs at The University of Faisalabad because of availability of optimum relevant facilities. In view of Physical infrastructure and qualified teaching faculty, the University has been upgraded to category “W” by Higher Education Commission.

Madina Foundation is the sponsor of the University of Faisalabad and my Father Haji Muhammad Saleem had a vision for Welfare, Education and Industry. Accordingly, the institution of higher education was set up in Faisalabad to help the common man to have access to higher education. I am grateful to Almighty Allah that the project of setting up of The University of Faisalabad was successfully completed in the year 2002. The University was established to meet the educational and technological needs of the country in general and Faisalabad in particular, with a missionary spirit, commitment and inline with the Government’s policies and priorities. I will appreciate the services and vision of the Patron of The University of Faisalabad, Lt Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool, Governor of the Punjab to facilitate the public and private sector Universities.

The University of Faisalabad provides an access to the students to international educational based on merit and their potential for motivation to excel. Universities, of course, are not built in a day; it takes a long time to set standards of high quality of teaching and research and to raise them into centers of excellence. The Foundation has mandated the University management to achieve these objectives. By the grace of Almighty Allah the University has achieved the desired quality in teaching during a short span of four years under the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission, Government of Pakistan. At this point I would like to appreciate the services of Prof Dr Atta ur Rehman, Chairman, Higher Education Commission, for maintaining the quality and standards of higher education in the country.

I consider my role as Chairman, Board of Governors; on the one hand, to gain institutional support for a strategic vision that is forward looking to match the international standards and secondly my role is the creation and maintenance of an institutional climate and culture that enables each and every student and staff member to work to his or her capacity, in an environment that is both personally and collectively rewarding.

 The University of Faisalabad has highly qualified and experienced faculty members for teaching the courses in Engineering and Technology, Management Studies, Islamic Studies Arabic. In order to address the manpower requirements of the growing industry specially the SMEs, a tripartite MOU has been signed between The University of Faisalabad, Chamber of Commerce & Industry and NPO of the Ministry of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives.

The Management of The University of Faisalabad will continue to provide every support to the University to achieve the objectives of quality education with emphases on research and development to make it a leading institution of higher learning in the country. I appreciate the services of Faculty members and supporting staff of the University for their hard work in successfully running various degree programs and maintaining discipline and good environment for learning.
