state of affairs Madina
Foundation a philanthropic organisation took the challenge of facilitating common man and pave the
path of success through educational enlightenment. On March 17, 2002, Madina Foundation,
known for extending services in the social sector,
launched a visionary colossal project of The University of Faisalabad to cater to the educational and technological need emerging
in the progressive scenario of the country in general and Faisalabad and
surrounding areas in particular, in line with the Government’s policies and priorities,
The University aspires for an appropriate balance between
the emerging disciplines of science and technology maintaing and prevalent fields
of humanities and social sciences.
The University of Faisalabad is chartered under Ordinance LX of
2002 promulgated by Government of the Punjab and recognized by
Higher Education Commission as a degree awarding University. Currently
the university has the faculties of Engineering & Technology, Health
Sciences, Management Studies and Arts and Social Sciences comprising
of the Departments of Textile Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Pharmacy, Management Studies, Islamic Studies and Arabic. University
Medical College Affiliates with U.H.S is also a project of Madina
Foundation. The University campus is located on
Sargodha Road, 4 km from the city centre. In View of the growing no of
students a separate campus has been established on the canal road to
house the Departments of Electrical Engineering, Textile Engineering and
Management Studies.
The University of Faisalabad not only focuses on intellectual growth,
professional competence and technical excellence of the students, but
also on development of higher ethics, zest for community service and
preservation of our cultural values. The management of the University as
a team puts in diligent efforts to make learning experience at the
University not only challenging but also enjoyable.
Both the Campuses i-e Main Campus on Sargodha Road
and Canal Campus on West Canal Road, have excellent infrastructure and
state of the Art lab facilities. Libraries have rich collection of books
in the relevant areas and provide access to HEC digital Library
resources.
The University lays equal emphasis an extra circular
and sports activities and students are encouraged to participate
actively in events of their choiuce
