Chief Librarian

Skills:

• Excellent leadership, management, information technology and communication skills
• Competent enough to steer a library automation, digital library and RFID  project
• Ability to create excellent academic environment for the library users (students, faculty, alumni)
• A strong commitment to develop and maintain university library
• Capability to plan and execute development works along with routine operations and management of the library.

Qualification & Experience:

• PhD. in Library & Information Science from HEC recognized institution along with 5 years of practical experience OR
• Master Degree in Library & information Science from HEC recognized institution along with 10 years of practical experience

 Deputy Chief Librarian

Skills:

• Excellent information technology and research skills
• Ability to design and conduct library orientation sessions
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of working with Integrated Library Systems especially Koha
• Capacity to implement library security and shelf management systems e.g. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

Qualification & Experience

• Master degree in Library & Information Science from HEC recognized institution with minimum 5-7 years of practical experience

Librarian

Skills

• Knowledge and competence for effective print and digital collection development
• Methods and techniques to provide library reference and bibliographic searches
• Principles and practices of providing quality library services
• Ability to catalogue and classify library material by utilizing standard classification and cataloguing  tools
• Respond to requests and inquiries from library users
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of Integrated Library Systems especially Koha
• Knowledge of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based library security and shelf management system

Qualification & Experience

• Master degree in Library & Information Science from HEC recognized institution with minimum 3-5 years of practical experience

Assistant Librarian

Skills:

• Good communication and computer skills
• Ability to catalogue and classify library material by utilizing standard tools
• Assist librarians in day to day operations
• Knowledge about library operations
• Knowledge of Integrated Library Systems and ability to work on them
• Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based library security and shelf management system

Qualification & Experience

Master degree in Library & Information Science from HEC recognized institution
