In most of the industries chemical engineers are responsible to manage the operation and process involves at various steps. During the past 10 years the demand for chemical engineers has increased inspite of prevailing economic recession and decline in industrial growth in the country. The demand for engineers excelled those having technology background.
Chemical engineering is the application of mathematical and natural sciences by processing the raw material to finish product, economically and without polluting the environment. It also helps to improve and solve miscellaneous problems encountered in industries.
Curriculum
The Program of Bachelors of Chemical Engineering at this University, like other programs, has been fully designed in accordance with the HEC recommended curriculum. The program is also approved by the Pakistan Engineering Council.
Chemical Engineering curricula is designed including not only core chemical engineering courses but also basic sciences (mathematics, chemistry, physics, communication skills and Islamiat & Pakistan studies), so that the graduate will not have just professional skills but a complete knowledge and understanding of basic principles, ethical consideration and leadership qualities.
Mission
The mission of chemical engineering is to educate and train the students to enhance their professional knowledge, by providing them an excellent background in problem solving ability, analytical design & communicate skills.
