The candidates who fulfill the minimum
academic requirement for admission are short listed through
entry test. The entry test comprises Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English for applicants who
are residents of Pakistan. For overseas candidates minimum score
of 1250 in SAT I or 24 in MCAT is considered equivalent to
qualifying the entry test with 60% marks.
Those who qualify entry test or meet minimum requirement in SAT
I or MCAT are interviewed to determine their
aptitude for medical education.
The final merit is based on previous results, performance in
entry test and interviews with following weightage

HSSC examination.

M Phil Leading to Ph D in Pharmacology
|
MBBS/BDS/D-Pharm/DVM with 1st Division will be
eligible for M Phil Leading to Ph D
GRE with a minimum of 50% marks. GRE should be cleared within 1st
year of course work |

|

MA ISLAMIC STUDIES
|
|
Candidates bearing the following qualifications will be eligible
to apply for admission in MA Islamic Studies:
-BA with at least second division with
Islamic Studies as elective subject.
-Those who have Arabic as second elective
subject will be preferred.
Merit Criteria:
Total marks secured in BA + marks secured in Islamic Studies
(elective) + 10 marks for Arabic (elective) + 20 marks for
Hafiz-e-Quran + marks obtained in written entry test and
interview.

|
|
BA with at least 2nd division
with Arabic as elective subject.

|
M Phil (Islamic Studies)
|
|
GRE with a minimum of 50% marks. GRE should be cleared within 1st year of course work

Al-Shahadat-ul-Aalamia in 2nd division from any recognized Tanzeem or Wifaq or equivalent.

Ph D IN ARABIC & ISLAMIC STUDIES

Minimum 50% marks in GRE
There will be two programs of Ph D
1. Regular
2. Special for in service teachers (male
&female) working as regular teachers in educational institutions
/departments will be eligible for admission.. The permission of
their employers is required.
Criteria for the regular program
1. The candidates must have master degree in the
subject, in first division.
2. Sufficient knowledge of Arabic language and
ability to consult Arabic sources is compulsory.
3. The candidates will have to qualify a
written test and interview.
4. The process of admission will have to be
completed by 15th of June every year. Other rules and
regulations will be same as given in University’s policy Manual.
